That's right, you heard me, what a bitch! Okay, that's probably a bit of an exaggeration since after completing her workout, it gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside that you have completed a workout designed by one of the toughest personal trainers in the world today, Jillian Michaels. Admittedly that warm fuzzy feeling could also be my heart giving out wonderful endorphins to combat the amount of pain that I have just put myself through during the last half hour.

Full Frontal by Jillian Michaels

Still, I guess this entry is meant to be a review so I think I better just get on with it. Truth is, I wasn't feeling the best going into this, and while going through the motions set forth on the DVD, it didn't really get any better for the way I was feeling; my heart was pounding, my head was throbbing, and sweat was dripping from virtually every pore – which I guess is the aim of a good workout video. Jillian leads it in for you quite nicely with an almost personalised introduction message before taking you into a warm-up session and then delivering you into a hell of a workout.

Now, one thing that I would say is you really, really should pay attention to the notice at the beginning of the DVD; you really do need to have all the equipment specified as it really would have come in handy for getting the most out of the instruction. But since we didn't, there was Tali and me using bottles of water in place of the dumbells and making full use of the floor and the walls and the couch in place of the step bench, which wasn't easy. Actually, the main thing that's not going to be easy is because of the shortfalls in our supplies of equipment, we're just going to have to go through all this again.

All in all though, Jillian Michaels Full Frontal (she does have many more after all), is a great DVD to get a hold of and to actually do. As Jillian says, if you get this and don't go through it to the end and follow it like a religion, the only one you're cheating is yourself.

Final Thoughts
Was it worth it? If I wasn't already mind wiped and buggered and not feeling the best, absolutely. Does it work? Yes. Is it fun? After a fashion, when you stop it's absolutely bloody fantastic.
