Strollin' strollin' strollin'

Well, what can you say about a walk? It was a walk, a quick stroll, a brisk meandering for about a kilometre just down the street, in the cold and the dark. And even then, neither of us wanted to go, after all I did say that it was cold and dark, the only other thing that would have made it a total suck fest was that if it was raining too.

But for all intense and purposes, it was actually quite good fun.

What do you do on a walk. The good thing about going for a walk as opposed to say slogging it out at the gym, even on treadmills next to each other, is that you can talk. People, and I'm talking generally here and especially couples, don't really talk enough; you're in the car, you're usually listening to the radio or a CD or your iPod. You're in bed, you're either sleeping or having sex, and luckily for me that's on the list later, but either way you're not really talking unless you're being somewhat agreeable with each other. So walking gives you that opportunity to unload.

Now I know what you're thinking, you can't talk to yourself if you're out there alone, but it can give you the opportunity to think about things – walking is one of those things that doesn't require a lot of brain power to actually accomplish, and before you know it, you have walked a fair way anyway.

Still, this was the easy one, the one kilometre one, just 20 minutes or there abouts of brisk but not fast walking, and we have other longer one's to get through, but this one was reasonably enjoyable.
