I’ve always loved Martial Arts!

When watching a Master at work, it is indeed a sight to behold. It can be graceful, it can be fierce. It can be fast and precise, or even unhurried and artful. Watching me do it on the other hand is like watching a Hippo do ballet...Hilarious ;) No matter what the type though, I am definitely a fan... got a soft spot for Martial Arts movies as well (shhh don’t tell anyone how much I loved Van Damme and Seagal hehe).

Tonight we had Hapkido, (for more info see this... Hapkido), though its not the first time, its certainly the first time this year we’ve really been back in class. If you really want to know how unfit you are, warming up for Hapkido is the way to find out. While not exactly passing out material, I was feeling quite close lol Not to mention the muscles that you never knew existed. After warm up, well... that’s when the fun begins. Highlights? Learning new ways to beat up Matt lol. (I think it’s certainly a great way to deal with any marital problems at least ;)

It’s a great activity because it’s super social, plus it burns off a heck of calories... it’s also an all round workout, lots of cardio mixed in with a lot of toning exercises. Twice a week we will be torturing ourselves with a gruelling session of Hapkido, on top of all the activities we will be undertaking for Year of Hell. So definitely stay tuned for further updates on our progress.
